Health System, announc
ed today that it has earned national recognition for efforts in patient
safety from Healthgrades, the nation’s leading online resource that helps
consumers search, evaluate, compare and connect with physicians and
hospitals.
BRMC received the Healthgrades 2013 Patient Safety Excellence Award™. The distinction places the hospital within the top 10% of all hospitals for its excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays.
Healthgrades’ 2013 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recognizes 379 hospitals out of 4,729 hospitals nationwide that have the lowest occurrences of 14 serious, potentially preventable complications and adverse events during a patient’s hospital stay.
