Our History
The Bradford Hospital Auxiliary was formed in 1932 as the Bradford Hospital Women’s Auxiliary primarily to provide financial assistance to Bradford’s hospital. Over the past 78 years, the Auxiliary has expanded in scope to raise awareness and funds and to provide volunteer services and support for Bradford Regional Medical Center services, programs, equipment, construction and community programs.
With over 150 members, this volunteer spirit works behind the scenes and in the front lines raising significant dollars each year through:
SACKS Resale Shop
HeartStrings Gift Shop
Book and uniform sales
Special events such as galas and auctions
TV and Telephone Service for patients
Auxiliary members also care for our special Chapel, located at the Medical Center on the third floor of the Brennan Wing near the Human Resource Center and family waiting area for the Critical Care Unit.
In addition, our Scholarship Program awards $6,750 annually for continuing education in the fields of Nursing and Radiography Technology

Our Giving
To the Auxiliary, philanthropy is key. In the summer of 2006 the Auxiliary pledged $300,000 toward the new building project at BRMC, Building the Future. These funds were made available to the Employee Campaign as a match program. To date the Auxiliary has matched over $220,000 in employee gifts.

Our Membership
Auxiliary membership, both active and associate levels, is open to everyone. Our current membership consists of 90 lifetime members and 75 annual members, men and women. Dues are $10 annually or a lifetime membership is available for $100.

Our Volunteers
In fulfilling its mission to support Bradford Regional Medical Center, the Auxiliary relies heavily on the generous contribution of the time and talents of many volunteers from the local community. On an annual basis, volunteers contribute over 16,000 hours of their time supporting such areas as:
* Hospital Information
* Patient Transportation
* SACKS Resale Shop
* HeartStrings Gift Shop
* Surgical Liaison
 There is a wide range of areas and activities to suit every volunteer. Volunteerism - helping others in need is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to your community.
