As part of the mission of BRMC, we believe that teaching is an important part of healing.

As a community, regional and state partner, we network with other organizations to improve our strategies and multiply our resources. As a member of the McKean County Training Consortium and North Central Health Care Consortium, we can network with health care providers, educational institutions and industry leaders across the region to secure group grants and education dollars from the state to provide meaningful educational topics to benefit those from leadership level to physicians, employees and staff.

Facilities & Technology

From our spacious surroundings on the third floor of the East Wing, everywhere you look we’re wired for today’s world. Our high-tech equipment has evolved into a super-system that brings experts and your peers in the medical community right to our doorstep. Technologically speaking, our state-of-the-art facility features:

   -live programs

With our advanced technologies, we’re able to transport you from our comfortable, centrally-located classrooms to hospitals, universities, health departments and other settings across the state and the nation. From our classrooms, you can learn from some of the country’s top teachers in health care-related fields including diabetes, cardiology and bioterrorism.

In the S. Gordon Huff, M.D., Medical Library (photo at right), our Medical Staff and employees are open to a world of the latest data via the Internet, stacks of periodicals and one-on-one visits with peers in the medical profession. Our latest service to offer is MD Consult, an Internet-based website which offers a plethora of resources materials, all at the touch of a button including:
 - 128 current medical journals
 - selected medical textbooks
 - continually updated medical information
 - 5,000 patient education handouts
 
BRMC’s Human Resource Center is also the destination for physicians, medical technology staff, nurses and other health care employees seeking Continuing Education Credits (CME’s) to widen their knowledge base and upgrade their professional skills.

From new employee orientation and as a central location for Patient Education resource materials provided through up-to-date Internet sites, our Human Resource Center is a place where learning lasts. From our monthly Heart to Heart cardiology education series to special conference topics, we are the leaders in quality health care education. <back to top>
 
Community & Patient Education

We strongly believe that a well-informed consumer is the best consumer of health care services. To that end, our Education Staff in Human Resources is dedicated to providing current and accurate education to patients and our community. 

We believe it is important to keep everyone in our community as healthy as can be -- to that end BRMC is dedicated to providing our community with current information on staying well, and dealing with the illnesses that affect your life. <back to top>
