Diabetes Self-Management Training Group Classes - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Nov. 2, 9, 16, Center for Diabetes and Nutrition Education office, Bradford Regional Medical Center. Each class covers different diabetes-related topics. A physician's referral is required to attend. Many insurances cover the cost. For more information, call 814/362-8717.

Upper Allegheny Alzheimer Support Group – 5:30 p.m., Nov. 6, Admin Room C (ground floor), Bradford Regional Medical Center. Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups are conducted by trained facilitators for caregivers, family and friends of those with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns and learn about community resources. Look Good Feel Better – 4 p.m., Nov. 13, Bradford Regional Medical Center’s Oncology Library. The Look Good Feel Better workshop is free and facilitated by trained cosmetologists who teach women with cancer how to understand and care for changes in skin and hair that may occur during treatment. The program is offered in partnership with the National Cosmetology Association and The Personal Care Products Council Foundation. Pre-registration is required. Childbirth Education Class – 6-9 p.m., Nov. 13, 15, Education Center Room B, Bradford Regional Medical Center. It is recommended that moms attend in their last trimester. The cost is $25. To register, call 814/362-8240.

Sleep Disorders Support Group – 5:30 p.m., Nov. 14, Outpatient Service Center, Suite 33, Bradford Regional Medical Center. The sleep support group is an informative meeting, usually led by a guest speaker discussing a variety of subjects concerning obstructive sleep apnea and equipment. A registered polysomnographer is also present to answer any questions regarding sleep apnea. For additional information 814/362-8732.
