BRMC community breakfast to outline vascular disease

Posted on: 05/24/2018

Bradford Regional Medical Center will present “What you need to know about vascular disease and how it can change your life” June 12 at the Bradford Club, 32 Boylston St.

Sonya Noor, MD, FACS, an internally recognized endovascular surgeon and partner at Buffalo Endovascular and Vascular Surgical Associates, will outline different kinds of vascular disease, the latest minimally invasive treatments and how to reduce a person’s risk for peripheral arterial disease, buildup of plaque in the arteries, which affects one in 20 people in the U.S. and can lead to a heart attack or stroke. People often do not know the symptoms of PAD and therefore, don’t report them to their doctors.

The presentation is part of BRMC’s ongoing Community Breakfast series and is free and open to the public. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. with the presentation from 8:15 to 9 a.m. Seating is limited. To make reservations, contact Stacy Shotts Williams, 814/362-8288, swilliams@brmc.com.

Buffalo Endovascular and Vascular Surgical Associates is affiliated with Kaleida Health’s Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute and Olean General Hospital. Dr. Noor and her colleagues, G. Richard Curl, MC, FACS, and Ivan Dominguez, MD, see patients at OGH in addition to their Buffalo practice.
