Upper Allegheny Alzheimer Support Group – 5:30 p.m., Jan. 6, Bradford Area Public Library. Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups are conducted by trained facilitators for caregivers, family and friends of those with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns and learn about community resources. Sleep Disorder Support Group – 5:30 p.m., Jan 15, Outpatient Services Center, Suite 33, Bradford Regional Medical Center. The sleep support group is an informative meeting, usually led by a guest speaker, to discuss a variety of subjects concerning obstructive sleep apnea and equipment. A registered polysomnographer is also present to answer any questions regarding sleep apnea. The support group is free and open to the community. For more information, call 814/362-8732.

Diabetes Self-Management Training Group Classes – 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Jan 16, 23, 30, Center for Diabetes and Nutrition Education office, Bradford Regional Medical Center. Each class covers different diabetes-related topics. A physician's referral is required to attend. Many insurances cover the cost. For more information, call 814/362-8717.

Basic Life Support for Medical Providers – 8 a.m.–12 p.m.., 12:30-4 p.m., Jan. 27, Education Center Classroom B, third floor, Bradford Regional Medical Center. To register, call 814/368-2056.

Grief Relief Support Group – 4 p.m., Jan. 28, Bradford Area Public Library. This group offers a friendly environment of caring people who will walk alongside those who are dealing with one of life’s most difficult experiences. The support group provides information and strategies to best deal with grief. For more information, call 814/362-8288.

Better Breathers Club – 1:30 p.m., Jan. 29, Bradford Area Public Library. This support group is for those with breathing issues and friends/family with breathing issues. Those attending are reminded to bring action/management plans for review. For more information, call 814/362-8296.
