Our program

The goal of The Pavilion is to encourage each resident to maintain his/her sense of dignity and self worth.  Residents make their own choices regarding meals, clothing, shower or tub bath, and what activities they prefer to attend.

Long-term residents are free to spend time away from the facility with their family.  Family and friends are encouraged to take residents on short outings away from the facility, invite them to their homes for visit, or invite them to spend the holidays at their homes.  Transportation is the responsibility of the family and friends.

  • Medical care:  Medicines, treatments and therapies are given under the direct orders of a physician.  The residents' physicians will visit regularly during their stay at The Pavilion and are frequently consulted on the plan of care.  Dentists, podiatrists, ophthalmologists and surgeons or any other specialty physician with privileges at Bradford Regional Medical Center may see residents at The Pavilion.
  • Emergency care: In case of medical emergency, a resident can be transferred to Bradford Regional Medical Center's emergency department under orders from the attending physician.  In cases where emergency care is necessary, the proximity of The Pavilion to BRMC saves precious time.
  • Rehabilitative care: Rehabilitation therapy at The Pavilion is directed by the professionals of Premier Therapy.  Residents who come to The Pavilion for long-term dementia care also receive therapy services.  Services are implemented by our restorative care nurse under the direction of Premier Therapy. Therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and restorative nursing services.
  • Activity department:  The activities department plans, organizes and carries out a variety of activities designed to meet the individual needs of the residents. The activities are designed to promote socialization, entertainment, relaxation, creative talent and to fulfill spiritual, physical and mental well-being of the residents.
